Biography
Igor Shirshkov was born on March 24, 1962 in Ulan-Ude, Russia.
In 1984 he graduated from the Architectural faculty of the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute. (Irkutsk National Research Technical University).
He participates in Art exhibitions, promotions, Art projects since 1986.
Member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1999 and Member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
I. Shirshkov is interested in the interacting with various artistic techniques: object, project painting, sculpture, public art. He combines abstract and figurative art, experimenting with color, materials, explores audioplasticism (synthesis of music and visual plasticity).
2006 – Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Principles of the formation of the artistic and plastic language of K. Malevich as a sign system in the context of the culture of the 20th century.”
2015 – Monograph on the topic “Questions of composition in the sacral image system»
Participant at numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
